Te Ana Ngai Tahu is a cultural centre providing accessible, meaningful and authentic cultural interpretation of some of New Zealand’s most significant examples of Maori Rock Art. Foodies of all ages will enjoy exploring the South Canterbury Food and Wine Trail, which provides details of some of South Canterbury's best gourmet and speciality food producers, wineries, cafés, restaurants and B&Bs. With more golf courses per capita than anywhere in the southern hemisphere, South Canterbury has something to offer every golf enthusiast. Incorporating the towns of Christchurch, Hanmer Springs, Timaru, Tekapo, Methven, Geraldine and Darfield, Canterbury is a place with plenty of coastal and mountain experiences to suit every traveller. It is the heart of the South Island and is home to over 18 ski areas such as Mt Hutt, Mt Potts and Mt Lyford just to name a few.
